An affordable city with abundant housing, high-quality infrastructure, and safety for all. A city where trees, welcoming neighbors, and great local businesses are everywhere. Where you belong.
Our City government provides services more affordably than residents would otherwise receive. Your taxes ensure that you receive high-quality water at a fraction of the cost of store-bought water, that your garbage and recycling is collected efficiently and processed environmentally, and that your streets are safe and in good repair. Underinvesting in these services results in higher costs to our residents and businesses. Let's reduce that burden on all of us by sharing in it together. And when people need extra financial help, we have assistance programs that can help with that!
We have made so much progress building housing in Beaverton, with over 350 new units of regulated affordable housing and more than 5,000 homes expected in the Cooper Mountain area. We even completed construction on the City's first ever permanent shelter, all at no cost to Beaverton taxpayers!
We approved and are implementing our Housing Production Strategy, which is making it easier to build housing of all kinds at various price levels throughout the city.
We are nearing completion on the largest water infrastructure projects in the history of Beaverton. Our Willamette Water Supply Pipeline (WWSP) and North Transmission Line Intertie (NTLI) will ensure we have clean and reliable water for generations to come.
We are also continuing to enhance our streets with major projects like the Downtown Loop, Millikan Way, Denney Road improvement projects. We are doing all this while completing major long-term investment strategies that prioritize moving people affordably, sustainably, and safely.
